Traditional insurance is priced and structured for working adults with steady income. Students face different risks — shared living spaces, secondhand devices, tight budgets, and irregular income. StuCover was designed from the ground up around those realities, not retrofitted from a corporate policy.
StuCover started after watching too many classmates go without a working laptop for weeks after an accident they couldn’t afford to fix. We set out to build the insurance product we wished existed while we were still in school.
